electronic book and detailed small business checklist, tailored to YOUR
specific business situation and YOUR state laws, with comprehensive and always
up-to-date small business tax, legal, and practical guidance (approximately 450
to 600 pages, which you can easily print out with simple 1-click printing).
The print version of this million-selling book series, published since 1981,
ceased publication in 2003 but was reintroduced in 2005 by principal author
Michael D. Jenkins, J.D., CPA and Ronin Software in an expanded and updated
electronic book + software format (for Windows ®**). All editions were 100%
updated in 2007 or 2008.
"Starting and Operating a Business in ..." (state) editions
for all 50 states and D.C. have been fully updated and re-published in the last
12 months, on a rotating basis, where several state editions and "national" or
"federal" chapters of each book are fully updated every month, throughout the year.
In addition, all editions are immediately revised to reflect any new federal
tax legislation, such as the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008. You won't
find more up-to-date small business tax and legal information anywhere.

from older editions, but several are the current state editions, including

Each state chapter contains a summary of tax and legal requirements of the state
in question, including filing fees for each type of legal entity, plus contact
information and web links to the major state government agencies in each state,
such as state tax, labor, unemployment tax, workers' compensation, and secretaries
of state (or similar agencies) where incorporation and other legal entity documents
must be filed. No other publisher pulls together this complete package of crucial,
timely information a business owner needs to know -- for every state and D.C.
